After four and a half years, it was time for a serious makeover of Dragon City Ink’s storefront.
Our studio stands for the best possible tattoo experience in Da Nang, and we wanted our storefront to symbolize our unwavering commitment to our mission.
We also wanted the new shopfront to reflect the traditional Asian roots of Dragon City Ink, revisited in a more modern design.
After several months of planning and over two months of construction work (every single element is custom-made), today we were finally able to see the final results.
As you can see in the above picture, the key elements of the makeover were the completely new top signage and the addition of two massive red columns on the side.
We also paid attention to the lightwork, which has been improved a lot while providing a warm and cozy feeling.
For the main Dragon image, we used the original logo designed by Phan Lợi in 2021. This iconic logo is now towering at the top of the shop signage.
The shop front also features a giant dragon head painted directly on the front metal gate by a renowned graffiti artist, Alex DeLarge.
As we discuss the new face of Dragon City Ink today, you can see below how the frontage has evolved over the years.

One of the very first pictures ever of the exterior of Dragon City Ink. Picture made in April 2021 when we started furnishing the shop.

First sign of Dragon City Ink with a cool custom bike in front of it. October 2021.

The studio frontage in July 2022. Back then it was simple but very polished. We added the sign tattoo studio on top of the door entrance and we started plastering the window with stickers.

The studio front after a devastating storm in September 2022. Some top parts of the signage few away.

In April 2025 we painted a huge dragon on the metal front door. Awesomely made by the graffiti artist Alex DeLarge.

Time for a makeover. Renovation time started in May 2025.
